As of June 2018, this website will be in memory of Fremont H. Teed Elementary. It was opened in August of 2002 and closed in June 2018 (to be turned back into a middle school). As of August 2018, it is now Fremont Middle School. The Teed Elementary music teacher, Anita Edwards (who taught at Teed from 2002-2018) moved to Silver Trail Elementary. You can still contact her at [email protected]

In 2012-2013 our 6th grade consisted of 50 members. In 2013-2014 our 6th grade band grew to 64 members (out of the 82 6th graders enrolled in our school). We did a pilot program for 5th grade band in 2013-2014 with 46 members. This year (2015-2016) our 6th grade band grew to 70 members (out of a total of 100 6th graders enrolled in our school). Students receive band two times a week for 45 minute session. This year (2016-2017) we have 107 6th graders at Teed and 80 are in the band program. 2017, we have 75 students in band (104 6th graders enrolled at Teed). We are the largest beginning band program in the Kuna School District.
The band is divided by woodwinds and brass/percussion for class however, we perform as a large band for concerts. Students may choose to play flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, euphonium or bells (for percussion). The Teed band is taught by Mrs. Edwards. If you need additional band information such as how to rent your child's instrument etc. please e-mail Mrs. Edwards.
